ROUND TABLE “From Policy to Practice: Environmental Priorities under the LIFE Programme”

The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning opened today’s round table “From Policy to Practice”: Environmental Priorities under the LIFE Programme, highlighting that North Macedonia is among the first countries in the region to engage with this key European instrument.

The event was held within the project “Coherent Actions for National Capacity Building for the LIFE Programme in North Macedonia.” (eHUB4LIFE)

In partnership with The Knowledge and Skills Management Centre, activities are already underway to strengthen national capacities and ensure effective use of EU funding for a green transition and an energy-efficient economy.

The Minister emphasized that the LIFE Programme is not just a fund, but a mechanism for real change:
“We share a common goal – to transform strategic policies into concrete environmental actions and sustainable solutions.”

The event brought together representatives of institutions, the expert community, and civil society, serving as a platform for coordination of priorities and reinforcing the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation.
