Presentation of the LIFE Programme Held in Tetovo
As part of the eHUB4LIFE nationwide roadshow promoting the LIFE Programme and the 2026 LIFE Calls for Proposals, a successful presentation was held on 3 July 2026 at Europe House Tetovo. The event brought together representatives of local authorities, public institutions, public enterprises, academia, businesses and civil society organisations interested in developing high-quality LIFE project proposals.
The event provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the LIFE Programme, including the funding opportunities available under the current calls, eligibility and application requirements, and practical guidance on preparing competitive LIFE project proposals. The presentations were delivered by the eHUB4LIFE Project Team:
- Prof. Hristina Spasevska, President of the Knowledge and Skills Management Centre (K&S Centre) and Project Manager of the eHUB4LIFE Project;
- Dr. Risto Ivanov, Project Team Member at K&S Centre and LIFE Project Development and Management Expert;
- Mr. Igor Panchevski, Project Team Member at K&S Centre and LIFE Programme Project Evaluator.
The interactive discussion that followed demonstrated the strong interest of local stakeholders in the opportunities offered by the LIFE Programme. Participants actively exchanged experiences, discussed potential project ideas and explored opportunities for future cooperation and partnerships.
Attention was devoted to integrated waste management, air quality improvement and water pollution prevention, reflecting the environmental priorities and development needs of the region. The discussions highlighted the importance of developing integrated and innovative LIFE project proposals that contribute to addressing these challenges while supporting the implementation of EU environmental legislation and the country’s green transition.
The eHUB4LIFE Project Team also presented practical recommendations on the development of successful LIFE applications, explained the evaluation process, and encouraged organisations to begin preparing project concepts for the current LIFE Calls.
The Tetovo event represents another important step in strengthening national capacities for participation in the LIFE Programme and increasing the number of high-quality project proposals from North Macedonia. The nationwide roadshow will continue with upcoming events in Bitola, Struga, Shtip and Skopje, bringing the opportunities of the LIFE Programme closer to stakeholders throughout the country.
