ROUND TABLE – Driving Climate Action: National Priorities under the LIFE Programme
13.05.2026 (Wednesday) ■ 09:30 ■ Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning
The LIFE25-CAP-MK-eHUB4LIFE project aims to support Republic of North Macedonia in strengthening environmental and climate action through the opportunities offered by the EU LIFE Programme. As part of this initiative, a dedicated round table on environmental priorities is organised, bringing together representatives from public institutions, local authorities, expert organisations, civil society, and other relevant stakeholders.
The event will provide an open platform for discussion on current national challenges, ongoing policy developments, and key needs in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation, as well as the clean energy transition. Through an interactive exchange of views and experiences, participants will contribute to identifying priority areas where LIFE funding can deliver strong added value, particularly in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening climate resilience, and accelerating the transition towards sustainable and energy-efficient systems. The outcomes of the round table will support the preparation of a national needs assessment report, helping to guide future LIFE-related activities and project development in the Republic of North Macedonia, in line with EU climate and energy objectives.
The project partners are the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (MoEPP), acting as the project coordinator, and the Knowledge and Skills Management Centre K&S Skopje (K&S Skopje).
Registration for participation in the round table may be completed via the following form.
