ROUND TABLE “Driving Climate Action: National Priorities under the LIFE Programme”
As part of the LIFE25-CAP-MK-eHUB4LIFE project, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and K&S Skopje organised a round table dedicated to national priorities in the field of climate action under the EU LIFE Programme.
The event brought together representatives from institutions, local authorities, expert organisations, academia, civil society, and other stakeholders to discuss key challenges and opportunities related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, as well as the clean energy transition in North Macedonia.
Through an interactive exchange of experiences, policy perspectives, and good practices, participants highlighted the importance of stronger interinstitutional cooperation, improved project preparedness, and increased national participation in LIFE projects addressing climate resilience, decarbonisation, and sustainable energy solutions.
The debate concluded that the LIFE Programme represents an important opportunity for supporting the country’s green transition and achieving national climate and energy objectives in line with EU priorities. The recommendations and discussions from the event will contribute to the preparation of the national needs assessment within the eHUB4LIFE project.
