LIFE Programme Presented to Stakeholders in Bitola
On 8 July 2026, a presentation of the LIFE Programme was successfully organised at Europe House Bitola, bringing together representatives of universities, civil society organisations, and the Municipality of Bitola to explore the opportunities offered by the European Union’s flagship funding programme for environment, climate action, and the clean energy transition.
The event provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the LIFE Programme, including the currently open calls for proposals, funding opportunities, eligibility criteria and practical guidance for preparing competitive LIFE project proposals. The panel session also highlighted the achievements of the LIFE Programme, national capacity-building activities and key aspects of LIFE project preparation and evaluation.
The presentations were delivered by members of the eHUB4LIFE Project Team:
- Hristina Spasevska, President of the Knowledge and Skills Management Centre (K&S Centre) and Project Manager of the eHUB4LIFE Project;
- Vlatko Trpeski, LIFE Programme National Contact Point and eHUB4LIFE Project Coordinator at the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning;
- Lihnida Stojanovska-Georgievska, Project Team Member at K&S Centre and LIFE Project Development and Management Expert;
- Igor Panchevski, Project Team Member at K&S Centre and LIFE Programme Project Evaluator.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants exchanged ideas on potential LIFE project initiatives, discussed environmental and climate challenges relevant to the region, and explored opportunities for future cooperation and partnership development.
The event was made possible through the valuable contribution of the Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, and Europe House Bitola, whose cooperation contributed to the successful organisation of the event and the promotion of the LIFE Programme among regional stakeholders. Through activities such as this, the eHUB4LIFE Project continues to strengthen national capacities and encourage the development of high-quality LIFE project proposals, contributing to increased participation in the LIFE Programme.
