LIFE Programme and 2026 Calls Presented to Stakeholders in Struga
On 10 July 2026, the eHUB4LIFE Project Team successfully organised a presentation of the LIFE Programme and the 2026 Calls for Proposals at Europe House Struga. The event brought together representatives of public institutions, municipalities, public enterprises, academic and research organisations, businesses and civil society organisations interested in developing innovative environmental and climate projects with support from the European Union’s LIFE Programme.
The event provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the LIFE Programme, the European Union’s flagship funding instrument for environment, climate action and the clean energy transition. Participants were introduced to the funding opportunities available under the 2026 LIFE Calls for Proposals, including the main priorities, eligibility requirements and practical guidance for preparing competitive LIFE project proposals.
The panel session focused on the achievements of the LIFE Programme, ongoing national capacity-building activities under the eHUB4LIFE Project, available funding opportunities and the key aspects of successful LIFE project preparation and evaluation.
The presentations were delivered by members of the eHUB4LIFE Project Team:
- prof. Hristina Spasevska, President of the Knowledge and Skills Management Centre (K&S Centre) and Project Manager of the eHUB4LIFE Project;
- prof. Lihnida Stojanovska Georgievska, Project Team Member at K&S Centre and LIFE Project Development and Management Expert;
- Risto Ivanov PhD, Project Team Member at K&S Centre and LIFE Project Development and Management Expert.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, during which participants exchanged experiences, discussed potential project ideas and explored opportunities for future partnerships under the LIFE Programme. Interest was expressed in projects addressing regional environmental challenges, strengthening local capacities and increasing the participation of North Macedonian organisations in future LIFE Calls.
The presentation was organised with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and Europe House Struga.
As part of the national promotional campaign for the 2026 LIFE Calls for Proposals, the event contributed to raising awareness of the opportunities offered by the LIFE Programme and further strengthening the capacities of potential applicants across North Macedonia. Through these activities, the eHUB4LIFE Project continues to support the development of high-quality LIFE project proposals and foster stronger cooperation among national stakeholders in addressing environmental and climate challenges.
