National EU LIFE Info Day 2026
More than 70 participants from public institutions, local authorities, academia, civil society organisations, expert institutions, and the private sector took part in the National EU LIFE Info Day, organised within the project “Coherent actions for national capacity building for LIFE Programme in North Macedonia (eHUB4LIFE)”.
The project is coordinated by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (MoEPP), in partnership with the Knowledge and Skills Management Centre K&S Skopje.
The event provided detailed information about the LIFE Programme, the newly launched LIFE Calls for Proposals 2026, and the opportunities for developing high quality project proposals in the areas of environment, climate action, and clean energy transition.
The opening session featured addresses by:
- Sashko Jordanov, National Contact Point for Nature and Biodiversity LIFE Sub-programme (MoEPP)
- Maja Bogdanovska-Zendelska, Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia
- Dejan Meticosh, President of the Chamber of Certified Architects and Certified Engineers
During the panel session, participants were introduced to:
- National capacity building for LIFE programme: Project eHUB4LIFE, Hristina Spasevska, Project Menager, K&S Centre
- LIFE Funding program for environment and climate action in brief, Lihnida Stojanovska-Georgievska, K&S Centre
- LIFE call for proposals 2026 and guidance through the process of application, Risto Ivanov, K&S Centre
- Evaluation process of LIFE Projects – tips toward successful application, Igor Panchevski, K&S Centre
The event concluded with an interactive discussion and exchange of experiences, ideas, and potential partnerships for future LIFE project development.
Special appreciation is extended to the Chamber of Certified Architects and Certified Engineers for hosting the event and providing the venue for the successful organisation of the National EU LIFE Info Day.
